boring

out of solidarity and because it's fun to see germany on tv these days, i watched the match england v ecuador yesterday. what a limp show. i found myself talking about council tax, making tea, discussing flat-cleaning... all of which was more gripping than the football. it was sad to see that england had only one striker, and he was limping around trying to catch the ball as he had barely recovered from a broken bone in his foot. what happened if someone accidentally stepped on his foot? then britney beckham was sick on the pitch. and that was the highlight of the match!

i wonder if the english team have learned from the old german team they used to criticise so much: dull and a pain to watch, with one goal from a set situation which allows them to scrape through because they have lucky draws against weak teams.
